Halton Hawks FC has various community and sponsorship programs.
We work closely with the Town of Milton Community Recreation Department. We offer various soccer-related programs during the Winter Season. Information about the program is available on the Town of Milton Community Programs Webpage.
Due to the fact that Halton Hawks Founder and Technical Coaching Director is South African, we chose to support the Cape Town-based SOS Village. In the past five years, Halton Hawks FC in partnership with DHL has donated clothes, cleats, and other soccer-related clothing and equipment to SOS Village in Cape Town.
In 2019 Vasco Nunes, Halton Hawks FC Technical Coaching Director personally delivered over 100 pieces of clothing to the Cape Town SOS Village.
During his recent visit, a local Cape Town radio station interviewed Halton Hawks Technical Coaching Director
“Contrary to many beliefs South Africa’s poor have not improved their quality of life since the fall of the apartheid, in many cases the situation has deteriorated,” said Vasco Nunes, “ Cape Town, is a beautiful city, however, when you drive into town one goes past some of the most impoverished areas of South Africa.”
“I have always felt a that I needed help these children and I prefer to donate clothing as I know this type of donation will be delivered directly to the ones who need it most”.
In the studio was Ms. Marcia Cannon, Director of the Cape Town SOS Villag and she had to say.“We at the SOS Children's Village in Cape Town appreciate all donations and on behalf of our organisation, I would like to thank Halton Hawks FC and Vasco for their generous donation”
