Playing History
Adeel began playing football later than the average player, starting at the age of 12 on the streets with his friends. He quickly developed a deep passion for the game and adapted remarkably well. He often reflects on those early days, playing in the scorching streets of Dubai—where his football journey truly began.
For Adeel, playing football was more than just a game; it was an education in both sport and life. His father, when not working, would coach the entire neighborhood, welcoming anyone who shared a love for the game.
As Adeel’s skills improved, his father took him to try-outs at various local Arab clubs in Dubai. However, as a foreigner, breaking into these clubs proved to be a significant challenge.
Despite this, he remained confident in his talent. At the age of 16, he was finally scouted by Gareth Hamilton, the Head Coach at Arsenal Academy. Having never been part of an academy before, Adeel had only known the streets as his training ground—his escape. Nevertheless, he made an immediate impression and was placed in the development team as a center forward.
