Halton Hawks FC is excited to unveil a significant partnership with S.C. Farense, a distinguished Portuguese Premiership club located in Faro, Algarve. This collaboration marks a crucial milestone, as it will provide our young players with exceptional opportunities to showcase their skills and potentially compete in Portugal's top divisions.
The primary objective of this partnership is to identify and nurture talented young players, especially aged 17/18, who will be given the chance to travel to Portugal for evaluation. Through the launch of "Project 2026," we aim to assemble a competitive U15 team for the upcoming 2024 summer season, with the ultimate goal of having these promising athletes picked up by Farense in the 2025/2026 season. This program represents our most ambitious initiative to date, reflecting our commitment to fostering the growth and development of our players.
Tryouts for the U15 team will commence in mid-August and continue until the beginning of May 2024, providing an extended period for talented individuals to showcase their abilities. This rigorous selection process will ensure that only the most exceptional players earn the opportunity to represent Halton Hawks FC and potentially secure a spot with SC Farense.
Mr. Joao Rodrigues, the President of Farense, expressed great interest in the project presented by Vasco Nunes Halton Hawks FC’s Technical Coaching Director, stating, "This collaboration will significantly contribute to SC Farense's growth in the North American market and allow us to handpick the finest talents from Halton Hawks FC." This partnership not only strengthens Farense's brand presence but also reinforces our commitment to providing our players with the best possible avenues for advancement in their soccer careers.
